Core training in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy is an intensive training experience for professionals and students in the fields of mental health, substance abuse and recovery, creative arts therapies, religion, human services, personnel management, nursing and medicine, group facilitation and education. This year-long format creates a community of learners committed to personal and professional growth. It provides a safe place in which to develop spontaneity as a director, auxiliary, protagonist and group member.
Each year special topics such as the use of psychodrama in individual therapy, action methods with children and adolescents, spontaneity training, working with resistance, sociodrama, the use of the body and working with trauma may be offered. Place, Highland, NY
Trainings are held at Boughton Place in Highland, NY, home of the original Moreno Psychodrama Stage. Boughton Place is 90 miles from NYC. It is about an hour from Albany, Tarrytown, and Katonah in NY. and a little over an hour from Sharon and Danbury, CT, and from much of Northern New Jersey. It is easily accessible by public transportation and offers overnight accommodations Pre-requisite: Attendance at one or more HVPI intensives, 70 hours of previous psychodrama training and/or permission of faculty. Tuition: $2600 if $600 non-refundable deposit is postmarked by January 1, 2012, $2700 if $600 non-refundable deposit is postmarked after January 1, 2012.
