Psychodramatic interventions that ‘go with the resistance’,
honor defenses and are attuned to sociometry create the safety that
help change barriers into open doors. This encourages individual and
group warm up to spontaneity, healing and change. This workshop is especially
useful for those working with adolescents, the chemically dependent
and ‘acting out’ clients.
Together we
will explore what is resistance? How does it get in the way? How does
it serve us? How can we help our clients move beyond it ?
Participants
will learn and practice:
Sociometric
exercises that that increase group cohesion and safety
The Use of the Empty Chair
Doubling in group and individual work
The power of role reversal
Sociodrama
Participants will be taught a series of experiential structures that
assist in helping reluctant clients make choices towards change.
